Began taking this and ferritin went up 12 over 49 days. this is the first time my ferritin has increased with oral iron. I am taking it 3 times a day and with betaine. Have only had mild headaches a few days with taking. I’ve had no issues with constipation like with other iron supplements. Placed my 2nd order today. Wish there were more coupon codes to bring down the cost some, but it seems to be worth it. My hair loss and energy levels have drastically improved.
Proferrin has worked great for me. I have no adverse side effects and my ferritin is rising! I wish this product was known by doctors.
I’ve been taking Proferrin Clear with dinner for a couple of years, augmenting with an iron glycinate product with Vitamin C in the morning. Between the two, my blood iron levels are in-range for the first time in almost 20 years. The Proferrin has never caused any stomach issues for me, and I’m delighted that it helps control my mild anemia.
This has been the only iron suppliment I’ve been able to take. So gentle on my stomach and it’s really been working fabulously.
I’ve been taking this for a couple months and while I can’t say for sure whether it has impacted my iron levels, I haven’t noticed a bad reaction to it. I like that they offer a clear option. I hate it when companies think adding random dyes makes their supplements more appealing to consumers. I wish they would disclose more about the source of the heme iron though
Proferrin is the only supplement that raised my ferritin significantly! My ferritin was stuck in a deficient range for 10 years and I tried everything but infusions. It would inch up by 1-3 over years, but still so low. Three months after starting Proferrin, my ferritin shot up by 10!!!

First day of taking this and I’m already feeling better. It doesn’t make me feel off like non heme iron supplements do, and it doesn’t contain dyes, which I’m glad for.
After nearly 10 years of low ferritin, I have finally achieved normal blood iron levels. My routine for the past couple of years includes taking two capsule Proferrin Clear with breakfast and dinner + vitamin C. I’ve experienced no stomach issues with the Proferrin Clear, and I’m very happy that this combination has helped get my mild anemia under control.
This is the best iron supplement I have taken. I have struggled for years to keep my ferritin above a 20 and with this product it has been above a 50 for the last 2 years and is so easy on my stomach! I would highly recommend this product.

Im only 10 days in but thats the furthest I’ve gotten on any iron supplements successfully so still crossing my fingers but good so far!

I have been taking Proferrin Clear for over a year, since July 2024. It is the only iron pill that does not give me severe diarrhea, so I am grateful for that. I’ve only been taking 1 per day but it has kept my hemoglobin and hematocrit in the normal range instead of the below normal range. My ferritin level has also increased slightly but my iron saturation fell into the below normal range, so my doctor advised me to double the dose every other day.
Proferrin Clear was recommended to me by my doctor. It lives up to the fact that it is gentle on the stomach, can take with or without food, and as a result my Ferritin is at 75+. Very pleased and now I’m on a subscription to continue receiving in a timely manner. Highly recommend!
My doctor recommended Proferrin Clear after my labs showed I wasn’t absorbing other forms of iron supplements. So far there’s been no GI upset and I am hopeful my next labs show improvement in my ferritin levels.
Does the job just fine as far as iron supplementation goes, but I will not be ordering the ‘clear’ version again. The capsules break down so rapidly that I have on multiple occasions burped up mouthfuls of horrible powder. It’s beyond disgusting, the smell and taste lingers, and it’s really easy to aspirate it that way too.
